No the 50 cal sabots are all black and there is no special coding on them. If the came from MMP they will be marked on the package - if they came from a vendor - then you will hope that they were what you wanted when you made the puchase. Normally the yellow Barnes sabots are comparable to a HPH-12 sabot the thickest of the sabot line - designed for Knights (older Knights) and Whites. |

dang. i ordered them from cabelas.
http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0020974214066a&type=product&cm Cat=Search_Results_NYR&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&QueryText=mmp&N=4887&Ntk= Products&Ntx=mode+matchall&Nty=1&Ntt=m mp&noImage=0 so the yellows are MMP's or are they just a different kind that is comparable to them? |

I just looked at the Cabela's site - I have know idea what you got but I would bet they were 12's... The yellow Barnes are built by MMP but can not be purchased from MMP as they are under contract to Barnes.. the other problem is if they support a boattail bullet or not. Most Barnes bullets are boattail - but not all... that is the big reason I went to Noslers... It seems to me that the yellow sabot are the equivelent of a HPH-12... |

MMP HPH-24s have small numbers on the base. The HPH-12s have a funky looking number which is larger than the marking on the 24s.
