RE: what grain are you using on whitetails

It varies from rifle to rifle. I might be shooting a roundball one day, a conical bullet or a sabot. Then it might be loaded with a sabot from 200 grains to 375 grain. Powder charges might vary from 65 grains to 120 grains. I like to use different rifles almost every day, although when hunting certain areas of the property I will often times take one or twoparticular rifle best suited for that area. More so for their sights then their projectiles.

Use the rifle that pushs the best designed projectile at the required speed for the projectile to react efficiently and as intended, but with the greatest and consistant accuracy. That is my Whitetail load.

Using the Remington or a 50cal Renegade during a late doe deer season...

For the Remington -> 260 grain Nosler Partion, HPH-24 sabot, 110 grains t7-2f

For the Renegade -> 460 grain Bull Shop, 90 grains t7-3f, Dynamint Noble 1075+ cap
(In Idaho this year we are required to use conicals & pivoting hammer)
