Americanpioneer powder ?
I was wonding if you could use the triple f powder in a 50cal inline? The rifle is a NEF Huntsman. I have used 70 and 75gr. of black triple f with good results. Don't like the coarsness of the double, its hard to get it to measure out of the powder flask. Zeak

RE: Americanpioneer powder ?
I've only used AP's Jim Shockey's Gold FFG - none of the other AP products. But the velocity and recoil was so low with 120 grains JSG under a 300 grain bullet that I would not hesitate to use 100 grains of AP FFFG in any modern ML.

RE: Americanpioneer powder ?
I shoot JSG Sticks in my Pro-Hunter and love it! I did try the 3f JSG this summer ( in 100 deg. heat and terrible humidity) and it as well as 777 shot bad. As soon as deer season is over I'll give it another try in the cool. The funny thing was that the 150 grain load (three Sticks) of Shockey's Gold shot very well even in the heat, that's why its my go to load.

Can you use the APP 3f in a .50 caliber.. of course you can. It will shoot fine. Whether or not the accuracy will be there will take some range time and your rifle, but the powder will fire fine.

RE: Americanpioneer powder ?
Thanks for the info!!! Guess I'll start with 70grs and work up and see what happens. I've been using the Hornaday 240 gr sst sabots with 75 grs of black with fair accuracy. Zeak

I'm using 90 gr of FFF jim shockey select in my knights. I worked this load up carefully and get 3 shot cloverleafs 1/2 the time at 100 yards!
