Regular Encore vs. Pro Hunter

I imagine this has been dicussed before, but I have a regular encore and it has worked great for me thus far. I was wondering if the Pro Hunter 209X50 is any more accurate or comfortable? Basically I just want to know if it worth spending the money on to buy it too?

Thanks

I have never shot either rifle, but they look so similar I would wonder what the advantage of one over the other would be. If you have a black powder barrel for the Encore, I would shoot that. I personally doubt it would let you down.

I just bought a regular Encore .

I was looked at getting the pro hunter but decided that the speed breach , 2'' longer barrel and the swing hammer was not that big a deal to me , so i saved around 200.00 .I don't find the regular breach plugvery hard to remove or clean . I ordered a Nikon Buckmaster Scope , and the .25 acp breach plug, with the money i saved !! The pro hunter does look cool , but i like the looks of the less fancy Reg Encore better . I sure can't imagine the pro hunter shooting any better than your Encore . But it's always fun to have a new toy !!!!!!!

I may get new stocks , 119.00 a setis a great price

This would look nice if you have a black barrel .

I have stainless , and like the grey stock .

There is a bit more to the speed breach than they even advertise, it actually does seal so there is no blow back I never realized how nice that would be. No more need to clean the action . To clean I throw some hot tap water on the stove leaving the hot water runing while it starts heating I stick the breach plug under the faucet which if you are using the purple TC grese will warsh right up to sparkling clean, then pour the boiling water through the barrel with a funnel wipe the breach out with a tooth brush and a rag run a few patches through the barrel wipe the gun and the inside of the barrel with sheath, grease and stick the breach plug back in and put the rifle away, proably a leasurly 5 min. Wow, that is easy. Nice. Was the TC grease made for the Pro hunter so it can clean up like this? Chap

I wouldn't sweat it. Use your bp barrel for your encore. I've seen $200 rifles out perform $600 dollar rifles because with black powder what really matters is your experience with your rifle and finding the right load
