Need some comfort please

Well after today, I will have a hard time sleeping tonight. I went to a gun shop and had the guy put a price tag on my Winchester X-150. I'll give it a couple weeks if it doesnt sell. He said i should have brought it in sooner when muzzleloading season was open and it would have sold fast. Now i'll just have to wait and see.

Will be ordering my new .54 GPR flintlock on thursday, That will help ease some pain but not much.

Also plan on taking my cva staghorn down and trade it off for a .36cal 6 shot revolver he has. That is, of course if the brass frame revolver is in good working condition.

Good luck selling your rifle.

I often times read the gun auction sites. Its amazing how many nice rifles are for sale for very reasonable prices that sell fast while other sellers put prices on their rifles that I might as well purchase new... If your rifle is priced right, it still should sell. The question is how low will you go.

As for that .36 caliber revolver. While they are nice for shooting targets, they of little other value. I have a .44 caliber and thought I would shoot it much more then I actually do.

If you have an feeler gauge available see how much clearance is between the cylinder and the barrel. Brass frames if shot with heavy loads wear easier than steel. 2 or 3 thousands is fine but a gap is not. Also see if the barrel will move from the frame sideways. Try firing a full cylinder load to be sure the cylinder will rotate when the gun warms up.

I have a .31 cal pocket model revolver I bought a few years ago. It doesn't have much use except very "informal" plinking. Unfortunately my aging eyes can't find the sights anymore. Would you be interested if trading for it?

Have any pics? All i really have to trade is the cva staghorn. I can get pics of that if you're interested in it.
