cleaning?

I am still doing my research and between shots it is said to swab the barrel. do you also need to clean the breach? anddoes the barrel need to be spotless or just free of loose burnt powder?

RE: cleaning?

No need to clean the breach between shots... in regards to the barrel, you need to make sure you use the same cleaning process each time. ie: one wet patch followed by a dry...:)

This is not really "cleaning" the rifle. All you are doing with the lightly damp swab is pulling some of the fowling out of the barrel. I like to run at least two dry patches after working the damp swab. The final cleaning comes at the end of the day.

But it wouldn't hurt to screw the breech out and back in every 6-7 shotsor so. Just so it doesn't seize up on you.
