Has any one looked at this bullet http://shop.shooterscatalog.com/catalog.php?type=product&id=28753
using the green sabot from http://mmpsabots.domainhost.com/store/page6.html as a less expensive means of shooting than using the 250gr. shockwave? I was just wondering how it would preform on paper and hunting deer. |

Whoa! I have never seen that bullet before - but it certainly has my interest now that you have posted it... headed to the Hornady site right now.... It certainly does not look like a 44 cal pistol bullet... It is not listed on their site nor does the site recognize the number... so do not know what to tell you... |
RE: http://mmpsabots.domainhost.com/store/page6.html
Part #4425 translates to the .44 caliber CL-SIL bullet. It does not look like that. i have never seen this bullet. According to the Hornady site it is a short fat bullet. Maybe the SIL means silhouette.

I tried to call right after I saw your post - but know answer... be interested in what you find out... but one problem it is not built for hunting it built to shoot at metal silouettes. We have a silouette range up north in the CDL area but i have never stopped to shoot there. |
RE: http://mmpsabots.domainhost.com/store/page6.html
I'll let ya know, It just looks from the picture that it is a hollow point sort of like the copper barnes setup. If so, I'll buy a box just to see what it will do for speed and expantsion.
