Try the same charge of T7 with an overpowder wad and/or a cornmeal buffer I think the Pyrodex needs a second chance - three of those shots are quite good, with the first shot flier already explained. Reduce charges of T7 until best group is obtained. Come back to UC for further projects. ;) This vicarious testing is cheap! :D:D But I do think the test showed you something very worthwhile about your Lyman with conicals... don't push them too hard and you'll get excellent accuracy. I didn't anticipate 90 grains of T7 still being too much powder, but it would appear to be. You've got enough evidence there to suggest that some bore-riding, flat-based conicals could be made to shoot nicely as well and I would think evenbetter. |
