C/T 50 cal.high plains sporter ammo question

after getting excellent info from this forum, i am almost ready to test my gun.
I was told to use loose black powder 80-100 and maxi-hunter pre lubed lead.

question: is there a sleve i can purchase to pre make these loads for quick loading? meaning, is there a sleeve that i can buy to put the measured powder in with the bullet for easy loading?
Thanks forum members for your help!!!

Speedloader is what you want.

plastic 35mm film containers, old prescription pill bottles, make them out of PVC pipe from the hardware store, purchase tubes and caps on line, speed loaders on line, you can even roll powder charges in paper (although I never done it).

There are lots of ways to get measured charges into the field. Go to most any black powder store on line and search speed loaders. They come in different calibers.

Just incase you dont get good accuracy, try a felt wad under the maxi hunter. I had to do that to get decent groups.

If you don't use sabots your going to have to keep your speed loads separate from your bullets. The reason is that pebbles of the powder get between the bullet and you loose some of it when you take the bottom off the speed loader because it is on top of the bullet instead of below it. So I keep the bullet separate from the powder. The film canisters work, but I use these from www.rmcsports.com.

cayugad what size pvc do you use for the powder. I got a 1/2 in and 3/4 in left over from something I was making

Both sizes will work as long as you can pour steady.. be sure and take a brush and scrub the inside of that PVC before you seal the one end (if your going to seal one end). I made mine three and a half inches long. Then when I made a couple, I secured the cap on the one end. On the other end I then used some tape to hold the cap in place and also alert me as to what end is loose.

Not too long ago, I was fortunte enough to purchase 100 tubes and caps from a forum member. These clear plastic tubes work perfect. Because I can see the powder charge and know what I have inside. There are companies on line where you can purchase these small tubes and cap and make your own for a lot less money then the speed loaders.
