RE: 209 primers sticking in my Encore,Help!!

I have shot hundreds of shots in my 45 cl,and 50 cal encore
and haven't had any problem,I shoot the mag and regular. You might want to try a different brand or different box to see if it solves the problem.I assume that you removed the extractor??

Thanks for the info,This is a new Encore with only one season on it and probably only a 100 shots thru it,I think I will go back to the CCI primers and try them again the problem didn't start until I went to winchester primers maybe they were enough different in size to make a difference,

First of all did you take the ejection bar out of your encore I had a little problem with mine doing that and E-Mailed T/C about a week later they sent me a little tool that gets under the cap and lifts it out handy little tool. Since then I have not had a problem with it.<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>Good luck

You did not mention the load you usually shoot. When I use 150 grains my Encore is hard to open because the primer is driven back against the frame. Never had the problem using 100 grain loads. If you are shooting loads a little on the heavy side you might start backing down 5-10 grains at a time until you find the spot where the sticking stops. Good luck.
