Range report

Experimented with artificial fouling today. Dumped 80 grains of flour down the bore, dumped it out, fired a cap, loaded up ....misfire...poured powder thru the nipple..got it to fire .. reload.. misfire... same routine... you get the picture. Got it straightened out after the third shot. Given shot #1 flew low of the remainder of the group, I'd say this didn't work. All things considered I was happy with the group produced by shots 2-6. I think using a dark dot helped. :D I sent 3 300 XTP's at the orange dot at the end of my session.

Cabela Hawken 50 cal GM barrel
Open sights
50 yds
260 gr Scorpion
CR sabots
90 gr Pyro. Select

Moved to the 100. If I could just lose the flier to the right..... 5 shot group 2 3/4"..If[:'(] This was the first time I've tried the 240's at 100.

240 XTP
.44 Mag Sabots
90 Pyro. Sel.

Moved to the 200. Did not do well out there today. There are 9 hits which belong to me in the photo. Next time out I'll see if I can make a hit left of center out there!

RE: Range report

That is still some very interesting range results. I never tried pouring flour down a barrel. Overall I would say that is some good shooting on your part. I really like my GMB but am still playing with lots of loads...

Hey yeoman, that's about the darkest dot I could think of.
