can you use Hodgdon Pyrodex pellets in an omega?

Theinstruction booklet for the pellets says "Pyrodex pellets are not for use in Thompson Center Scout rifles and pistols".

Pardon the ignorance, but what is a TC Scout rifle, and is the omega considered one of their scout rifles?

Thx

Yes they will work fine in the Omega. The Scout is an older model not made anymore which used loose powder only.

I own a couple of Scouts very nice rifles but they are not modern inlines.

Most of the bullet testing in Omega's and other Thompson Center rifles was done with Pyrodex Pellets according to a technician I talked to. Try 100 grains (2 pellets) and a 250 grain Shockwave. I think you will be very pleased with the accuracy.

2 x 50 gr t7 pellets anda 340 gr PR Dead Center is accurate out of mine but not as good as 110 gr 2f t7 (loose) and 300 gr nosler partion.
