RE: I hope to shoot the flinters soon
That is a real nice pistol.I can sure understand your desire to shoot it.
I owned the cut down model you could say, a Colt Combat Commander in .45 ACP for many years. It was an excellent shooter. The pistol was an excellent self defence weapon. Very accurate, nice safety, easy tocontrol, and it seldom stove pipedon me, and then was easy to clear. Then I was "given" boxes and boxes of surplus ball ammo by a friend. Well the atuff was defective or something... It ended up splitting the barrel on me. I took it to a gun smith who then had to send it off to Colt, who had to drill out the entire old barrel and replace it. When I got the pistol back, a person offered me over twice whatI paid for it and a revolver, so I sold it. I have always regretted selling it, but then it was one of them pistols that I seldom shot. I then got a 9mm pistol, a S&W which I hated and sold. Now I just use my revolvers when I feel like firepower.... Good luck with your new pistol. |
