reming 700 ML

Are these good conical shooters? I dont have much info on the rifle right now due to slow email but i figured i'd ask. Ive seen the topic come up on this model but never paid any mind to it.

I have two of them - one a 24" and the other a 26" - theyboth shoot conicals quite well.... the knock on the Rem is cleaning the bolt - although I do not understand why the bolt comesapart really easy...

Do not use the Remington 209 system - it has a lot of blow back....

You're forgetting that i own a bolt action winchester:D. They are simple to clean but add another 2-3 minutes on.

Im not sure if i will pick this up or not but i was looking at it for COelk. I can get it under $200. The question is, if its in good shape, if it has the shorter 24" barrel, is it worth $200?
Good groups with what bullet/powder? Easy 2" groups @ 100?

Isit a stainless or blued?.... they are a 1/28 twist with Douglas barrels... The triggers are adjustable, Walker trigger.... the gun is well balanced and carries easier than you would think.

If the gun is in good condition and stainless - $200 would not be a bad price at all - if it is blued $200 is right at the max.

BullShops - 90 grains T7-2f

Here is a pic of the 24" Rem

Thanks, I'll have to email the guy again so i can get some detailed info. More than likely blue/black which is ok.

I had a 700ML in stainless, and it was the most accurate inline I've ever owned. Sub MOA groups consistantly with Barnes Expander MZ 300 grain bullets and Pyrodex RS.
My only complaint - it was a pain to clean!

I have owned 1 since they were introduced never taken a back seat to any other inline interms of putting them on paper. While the bolt design requires constant monitoring/cleaning I never found them aweful to clean. Like sabotloader mentioned the rem209 ignition is poor. If this is the caseI'd convert it to the cabela's rem 209 kit ASAP and avoidthe potential headaches.
