Has anyone used the Sling Stix sling?

I saw a product which was new to me - slingstix built in to a sling. I coulodnt open them up at the store, but I was wondering if anyone had bought these. It seems like a good idea, but might be one of those gimmicks things with isnt real practical in the field.

Please let me know - they appear to be the same as the Quake Claw sling I want to buy anyway for $25 and these are $45 with the stix built it.

Thanks!

Ive seen them used on hunting shows, but to me, its more crap to fumble around with and get caught up in things when you drop them and then have to get into a different position.

The sling stix aren't bad. I have one. It takes some getting used to. I've found that you have to slide the stixs cover back up because the back of the cover has a rubberized coating that helps hold it in place on the stock. I got these as a gift and I am still debating on using them. As for recommending them - I would have to say no. A bi-pod is easier to use even though they are a bit heavier. And the bi-pod 'sticks' are more ridig than the ones on the sling stix which have a tendency to flex under the rifle's weight - especially from a front heavy muzzleloader.

I bought this sling just because I wanted to try it.

It works better than I thought it would, it is a little loud if you oen it up fast, but after 5 or 6 times of practicing, it dosent make hardly a sound when it comes out. It takes a little practice to get used to it, but now i like it as good or better than any bipod I have tried. It is much lighter than a bipod too.

Everytime I bring shooting sticks with me I forget them in the field, especially if I kake a shot, I get excited and begin my tracking and bringing alond my shooting sticks are never on my mind. I think this is a good product for and gun and for another $25 more than a normal sling, it seems like a good deal.
