RE: 209 primers
Ive found that they do. CCI's offer the best accuracy for my rifle. Just have to play with others to find out which works best for you.

RE: 209 primers
Yes primers do affect the accuracy of your muzzleloader. I personally had horrible luck with the winchesters. Remington makes a muzzloader 209 that I have used for awhile now and it's very clean and it improved my accuracy in my t/c encore pro hunter. I suggest those if you can't find what you usually use.

RE: 209 primers
Yes primers can effect accuracy and in some cases fowling conditions in the rifle. The usual rule of thumb is, if you start with Winchester, then try to stay with them. I use Winchester primers and have good luck with them. I also shoot Remington Kleenbore primers and they work good.
Some good primers are Remington Kleenbore Primers, and Winchester. Also Winchester came out with a primer called Winchester 777 but I have not tried them yet. |
RE: 209 primers
The only ones I've tried were the CCIs and the Winchester T-7s. In my gun, the CCIs won hands down. They werecleaner than the Winchesters and gave me slightly better groups.

RE: 209 primers
I also use the CCI primer. I have always had consant ignition.

RE: 209 primers
When I got my muzzleloader and was buying powder, cleaning stuff, bullets, etc, I bought Remington Kleen Bore primers. Just cause they were the only ones they had and was on sale. I'm happy with the groups I'm getting so I have no intentions of changing.
