i was wondering about the new electra.it is primerless.has anyone shot this gun or owns this gun.i would love to know how it shoots.im sure in cold weather i would finally get the perfect shot and the battery would go dead.if anyone has an opinion on this gun i would like to hear it. thank you.

My opinion follows: An invention looking for a need.

I'd love to try one out. As for the battery going dead, They tell u how long it will last with the switch left on.

Like Frontier Gander, I would love to play with one on the range for the day, but I have no desire to purchase one. I think it will be one of those rifles that just never make it. Of course, they said that about the inline rifle back in the late eighties.

i guess it'll sell to some people who are curious. personally i find the thought of it ridiculous.

bad enough dealing with the gunsmiths at cva now you gotta deal with their electricians:D

I will stick with those fancy new things called primers. If you watch their promo, they make it sound so bad having to clean the breech plug :D:D

Not having to clean the breech plug is always a plus. TC made a fuss over having to unscrew it.

I've always figured simple and reliable were closely related. Somehow I get the feeling this design might have potential for problems.

good thread. I was looking at that one as well.
I've never shot a BP gun, just getting the urge to try it though.
