I do not know for sure but most all marlin parts are made in house and I think hat H&R doess also If you need more info Greybeard outdoors has a section just on H&R muzzleloaders. On line the gun source has blued sidekick 169

Yeah John Thanks for the Greybeard outdoors tip. They do have a whole forum for the Huntsman and the Sidekick. I read a lot of them were complaining about the ramrod and the breech plug on the Sidekick. Im thinking I may just as well go with the Omega from Thompson Center.

Glad to be of help I also have an omega z5 it is an excellent accurate gun. You can but them as cheep as 269 at midway usa
