Lyman Mustang & Barnes bullets

Finally took the time to shoot a few Barnes (250 grain) expanderMZs through the Lyman Mustang today. It wasn't the best day for shooting - hot & breezy - so I shot at 50 yards. First (fouling)shot through a clean barrel was about 2" high. I then swabbed the bore with a saliva moistened patch followed by a dry patch & reloaded using 100 grains of loose Pyrodex R/S & the Barnes 250 grain expander. Next 3 shotsusing that routine were about 1" high and the 3 shot group was about 1" withthe first two shots touchingand the last one just below the first two.
Considering the weather conditions I was pleased with the performance.

Wabi - Barnes are great bullets and really expand and hold together well. I have only found one Barnes that I did not like for accuracy and that was the TZ or TM 285 grain. I shoot the 300 grain expanders and the 250 grain XPB cannelure .454 Casull which are the expanders but made to load in a pistol cartridge. They are a little cheaper.
