RE: Wet weather question
While some rifles are much more forgiving of the weather, like my Knight Disc rifle, Some rifles have problems.
I always am amazed at my traditional rifle. I was deer hunting in the snow, walking through my cedar marsh. I had a T/C Renegade with a finger cot on the muzzle and the tire valve cap overthe #11 cap. under that hammer. Well I was lucky enough to find the creek that day even though I was not looking for it. I ended up getting very wet, and dropping the rifle into the water. I picked up my pride and gear and headed back to my house for a change of cloths and to check the rifle. At my house, I took a bead on my steel bullet trap, cocked the rifle, and the rifle fired just like a sunny spring day. So I swabbed it out, changed clothes, reloaded, and headed right back into the stuff. |
