T/C Renegade with round balls
 

Well it was hot today but I wanted to try my 54 cal Renegade out with some round balls. I just didn't like the way it was shooting the various conicals I shot through it. The load was 80 gr of Triple Seven, Wonder Wad, and patched round ball. Shooting at a 4" black circle at 50 yds (once I got it sighted in for the balls) and swabbing the bore between shots, the 3 shot group measured .85" center to center. I have to thank Cayugad somewhat for this from reading his posts. Looks like I have another shooter. Hopefully the target pic will upload for me.

WOW!! that is some good shooting. Also that 80 grains of Triple Se7en is plenty of power for what you want to hunt. It is nice when a rifle shoots that well.

Thanks Cayugad, I have to hand it to you. Those Wonder Wads are great for increased accuracy. I'm glad you told me about them. I use them in all my MLs for both conical and round ball.
