knight mk 85 54 cal.
 

I borrowed my friends knight mk 85 54 cal and cant get it to group very good 6"-8" @ 100 yds.I was using horandy 45 cal{300gr?} with a red sabot.I started low on the powder {Pyrodex}and worked up but it didnt help.I was wondering what everyone else uses or I could try.Thank you

I agree to all of your questions. I have a MK-85 for about 4 years and have never used it for hunting. I cannot get it to group good enough to trust it for hunting. I started with open sights and a 250gr bullet sabot. I've added a scope 1.75-4 and tried a 300gr sabot bullet with a boattail. The shots are all over the target. If I could get a group of any type. On all loads I used 2 pellets of 60gr pyro. and all were shot at 100 yards. Does anybody have suggestions for us? Would anyone like to buy a MK-85?????
