Barrel finish?

OK so the Lyman kit gun gets closer to being completed. . .I see that midway only carries one type of "Birchwood Casey Plum Brown Barrel Finish 5 oz Liquid" but they won't have it for another wek or two.

Are there othersthat are better?

Its worth the wait. You may get blotchs in the barrel where it doesnt look right, the barrel will darken over time and come out even after a few weeks. We re-browned two of out barrels with it. Great stuff.

I browned my barrel with the name of a product I even forget. Actually after twenty some years, they are ready for another finish. There is also blue finish by Birchwood Casey Products. I have never used that aspect of their product line but I do use the cleaning products and their rust preventative products.
