making bore butter
I found what someone is calling bore butter and how to make it.
Is this correct or crap... It would make a large batch by the measurements "Bore Butter" recipe: 1lb beeswax 4lbs oliv oil 2 spoon yellow food pigment 1/2 oz. wintergreen oil for smell |
RE: making bore butter
sounds home made but i'd rather just buy a big tub of Crisco and use that on my patches. They never offer enough on the pre-greased patch.

RE: making bore butter
I've got a question.
The NRA 100 yd high power target here http://www.tackdriver.com/targets.htm. Is it a 100 yard target for iron sighted high powered rifle? |

Pglasgow
That target is not a Scope target. The military teaches setting the round ball on the the top of the front sight. At a 100 yards the size of the big black ball works just perfect for that option. I would also suggest at a 100 yards the front blade would cover the ball is aimed that way. Or even using a modified hold - trying to pick the center of the ball - best to set the ball on the blade.... You will never see the white rings... |
