I really should let MLKeith answer this because it took him two years to convince me, but there is not going back now... It is clean - it seals well - it can be loaded with your fingers... I know you can load 209's with a capper - but it is clean - even the spent shell is in good shape and cam be re-primed... Oh! and take a shot drop the breech and let the spent shell slide out into your hand... |
RE: 25 acp conversion
if you have an omega you can send the breech plug to precision rifle david white and he will comvert it for 25 bucks a lot cheeper the the canadian 25 acp

RE: 25 acp conversion
WOW,I had no idea. I am going to have to try this, I have been pulling out my hair because I just can't get my Encore 26" bbl to shoot anything under 6" @ 100yds. I had no Idea the pressure released by the 209 primer.
Does anyone know the differences between the 25acp conversion and the veriFlame 209 adapters. I appoligize if this has already been covered somewhere else. |
RE: 25 acp conversion
I thought about the 25 ACP for the Sidekick. I can really see it improving the cleanliness of the breech area. I guess I didn't get it because it is not legal in Colorado during regular ML season. At least nothing other than 209, percussion cap, or flint ignition is specifically allowed.

RE: 25 acp conversion
Yeah thats why I was wondering about the VariFlame adapter. Technically I think itwould still be considered a 209 primer. But the 25acp adapter would be perfect for the Indiana deer season.

RE: 25 acp conversion
ORIGINAL: Water Swatter Technically I think itwould still be considered a 209 primer. It seems that you are having a similar problem with your Encore that Big 6x6 was having with an Apex. I may be wrong but I don't think your Encore should be that picky. And if it is, I don't think the solution will be buying the ACP. |
