I got the fever...bad!
 

Well I found a pretty good deal on a Lyman Deerstalker Flinylock .54 with a 1/48 twist!!!!!! This is my 2nd muzzleloader, I bought a Lyman GPR flintlock over tis past summer and got to hunt with it this year. Too much fun!!!!! The deerstalker should be here by Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I need to find a good load for the roundball...any suggestions!

I will guess 90 grains of Goex 2f and a .530 patched roundball. Congratulations on the rifle. Keep us posted on how it shoots for you.. :D

Be careful on the Fever, you may like the ML better than the bow and you would have to change your screen name. :->

Well fellas the UPS man stopped by today, I wasn't home!!!!! I was in the woods Bowhunting, when I got home I pulled in the driveway the Deerstalker was leaning against the side door all bundled up! Sure is a sweet gun! I'm hoping to get out tomorrow to shoot the Flinter, we'll see!!! I really like the balance of this gun, the sights are excellent! It is going to be fun sighting her in!:)


Sure is WARM in here......Hmmmm....what to buy next! [8D]

A lot of 54 shoot best with a 530 ball but some need a 535 so if you want the best possable results try both. Lee
