What did I miss about the Winchester Apex?

cabelas was having a huge deal on them. $430 apex with ss barrel and camo stock, on sale for $229.
www.impactguns.com is selling the blue/black apex for $198 if you'd looking for one.

You missed a tight shooting, simple, reliable, fun to shoot, awesome gun for next to nothing. It's no big deal[8D]:D:).

I just wondered what the fuss was about.In the redhead catolog that apex looks just like a CVA Kodiak . I wonder if winchester makes theCV or vise versa.

anyway I'm happy with my encore 20950 and knight tk2000.

The Apex was made by CVA. It's almost the same. It's more like the Kodiak Pro Magnum than the regular one though. I think the Apex is a bit nicer myself. It's got a slightly better stock and a few other features. In ss/blackmine was $200. The Kodiak is considerably more with that stuff.

Basically, Winchester put their name on CVA's gun. After they stopped making the Apex the Kodiaks came out.
