NEF Sidekick - "malfunction" ...
 

The action will not close properly everytime on my NEF sidekick. I have fired somewhere in the neighborhood of 25 times in the past 5 days (it waspurchased new a week ago).

The action closes fine until I put the orange cap holder on and attempt to close the action. It simply does not want to close no matter how much I cean the breach and cap holder. In fact, the action has brokeopened twice on shot numbers: 19 and 23. I began having problems after shot number 15.

I have tried new cap holders, tightening the breach, cleaning the action are, and really everthing you can possibly think of. Unless it is something I have over looked, it is a manufacturing defect.

Has anyone heard of this happening before with NEF's? I don't know what else to do ... muzzleloading season starts onDec 27th. I hope the place I bought it from can straighten it out for me ... or fix me up.

This is bumming me out ...

i cant answer that question about nef but i did own a break open .410 shot gun that kept doing that to me. I found out later that the little latch was cracked and just kept slipping out. Off to ebay it went.
