This would be handy to clean the inside threads in the bore - I do not use grease so this reaches in and pulls the used tape right out of the threads...

The bigger brush on the left - it really works well on the barrel breech threads..

I tried the pink tape on a couple of my rifles and it was too thick. The white tape is thinner and works just fine for me. I suggest you use what ever works for you best.

Sisfire,
I kind of already thought about that but I already might be in the dog house if she figures out where I plan on storing my powder.

Besides she just told me last week to go ahead and get another gun, so I will break down and pick up another toothbrush. Although I just can't get myself to use my used tooth brush on the gun, it deserves brand new!

ORIGINAL: bigcountry

They were throwing out all these high frequency ultrasonic cleaners at work, so I took them home. I throw the plug, nipples, whatever in there, and in 5 min they are clean as a whistle.
I wish I could get my nipples clean as a whistle.

Teflon is teflon whether it is made for the plummer or for TC for muzzleloading. I think the use of teflon as anti sieze and a sealant was started by UC himself... He also penned the name "crud ring" so you blame that one on him also...

I clean right away after shooting, I do it at the shooting bench (have my own range) Just use some ML solvent and it cleans real well. Sometimes if I go to the house thereare things to do and it gets forgotten.
When I am on an extended hunt (tent) then I will clean it at the end of the hunt but before we leave for home.
