H & R/ NEF Black Powder
 

Hello, I'm new here so here it goes:
I suppose that this has been discussed before, but would like to know if any one has worked up a load for the H&R/NEF .50

First off welcome to the forum
I have the nef hertage( it is a sidekick with a camo stock). Mine likes 90 grains of 777 and winchester platnum tip sabots but i keep my shots less than 100 yards. i hunt with a .50 huntsman i shoot 100gr. 777 inpellets usea 300 gr. cva deerslayer bullets.

I have the Huntsman 50 cal and I shoot 2 50 grain American Pioneer sticks and a 250 gr Hornady sstml with a 777 209 primer. Have shot 4 deer with this load at various ranges between 35 and 145 yards with excellent results.

Bullet weight 300 gr and above 80 to 100 gr pinicale 70 to 90 gr t7. 200 to 250 90 to 110 gr.

Thanks for the tips, have been shooting a T/C Hawken for a lot of years, mostly w/patched round ball.
50 cal 110 gr 2f, w/pillow ticking.
I have been messing around with the H&R .50 cal, pyrodex, and sabots (new methods).
This gun started as a .243 Handi rifle, but added some barrels.

90 grains of loose 777 powder, 250 SST, 777 209 primer. That load will shoot MOA if I do my part.

Huntsman is sighted 2.5" high @100 yds, 75 grains by volume FFg T7, 400 grain PR Ultimate1 spitzer HPs, Win Primers
