Anyone know if Green Mountian replacement barrels fit Lymans GPR. I have the 54 Cal. Thanks

No the Green Mountain IBS barrel does not fit the Great Plains Rifle or Hunter. They do make a barrel for the Lyman Trade Rifle, Lyman Deerstalker, Cabela's Hawkins, & Cabela's Carbine (all of them made by Investarms). I think the reason is, are not the GPR a double wedge rifle?

Now you could get a Great Plains Hunter Barrel with a 1-32 twist and that should fit your rifle. This would give you the opportunity to shoot conicals and even some sabots if that is what you wanted to accomplish. The Great Plains Rifle with the 1-60 twist will still be an excellent roundball shooter.

The 15/16" barrels can be modified to fit your Lyman Great Plains rifle, at extra cost by a gunsmith - after shipping the stock assembly to Track Of The Wolf. When you reach this site, pick out the 15/16s you want - retrieve the product number - then call the website by phone& ask to speak to a gun tech. Tell him what you have & how to go about getting her fitted. Also ask if you can return to using theLyman barrels after all this inletting/stock-cutting is done. My guess would be .... No!

They make them for the Lyman Great Plains Rifles.

Very good!! I was giving the information of no barrel, from looking at the Green Mountain Barrel Catalog and price listing they send me. They do not have one listed. I wonder if this barrel the TOTW is offereing is a custom made barrel. That is a real good thing for GPR owners.. thanks for the link Sharp Shooter.
