I've handled the omega x-7 and like the way that feels. I'm a little shorter than you daughter (5'4"). Many guns feel way too bulky and a little long in length of pull. It's pretty important that she shops and feel tests some guns out. I do well with thumbhole stocks. NEF sidekick, as already suggested, maybe a possibility. A knight disc rifle is also a solid choice. I do not own one, but on many occasions talked myself out buying one. At times, they are heavily discounted on price.

Thanks all for the responses. She decided on the Winchester APEX and it should be here next week. Can't wait to take it out next weekend and try it out. I think I'm looking forward to it more than she it. A little.
