Default Which bullet 240 or 250 XTP?

I have a CVA Wolf 209 / Beartooth that I'm currently shooting T/C 240 XTP MAG bullets. They shoot well through my gun, but I'm running low and time to get more. I'm going to be buying the bullets in bulk and buying the Harvester, Crush Rib sabots seperatly. I'm looking for a bullet with good controled exspansion, but still typically leaves a decent exit wound. Any recemmendations on which of these would be best? 240, 240 MAG or 250XTP? I would also like to hear what others are shooting through this gun and their experience with performance. My shots are usually within 80 yds and most are within 30. I have found 100 grains of 777 work well with my current load.

Thanks!

A friend who has a Beartooth Magnum shoots 85 grains of Triple Se7en 2f and a 240 grain XTP with his rifle. He has a pretty accurate load actually. Normally though I believe he is still hunting with some 245 grain Powerbelts.

I have shot both, I still have some of each - I don't know if you can really tell the difference other than the 240 being a .430 will have a bit better BC.

Your gun is going to be the deciding factor - which one does it like the best - hopefully it will shoot both of themequally well - but that is not always the case.

Throwing a wrinkle at you which you can choose to do with what youwant. Might look at a 250 grain or even the 300 grain Speer Gold Dot. They are a bonded bullet and are designed to openback the length of the petals then stop so that the remaining lead will continue to be driven into the animal. You an not strip/separate the lead from the copper. Those would be my choice today

Hope I have not created confusion for you...
