Finally scored with my omega
 

After several confrontations with small doe and little bucks I was finally able to score Sunday morning. I shot a big fat doe at 90 yards. I was using a 250 shockwave and 100 grains of triple 7 pellets. The shockwave went completely thru the deer and destroyed both lungs. The deer only went 60 yards and dropped like a brick. There was a wicked blood trail. I couldn't be happier with the performance of the gun and load. My uncle wants a muzzleloader with a scope now for next year. I still have 2 weeks to find a buck I can get a shot at. I don't plan on using a shotgun during the regular season ever again, blackpowder is way too much fun.

congratulations on an excellent rifle, load and for taking what sounds like a nice doe... It is a good feeling when everything you have practiced on the range all comes together and it works to make the hunt memorable. I am sure you Uncle will be able to find a good rifle as well. Now good luck hunting that buck... you got no excuses now.. :D

Congrats!!!! but now you are really hooked - it has happened to a lot of us. You say your shotgun will now get a rest - same for my centerfires, as T7 said collecting dust...
