All lead powerbelts

Anyone use the lead HP powerbelts with any success? Do they need to be shot slower than a copper coated PB to avoid barrell leading?

I've got a buddy that uses the big 405 gr. lead Powerbelts with good success. He uses a 105 gr. charge of 777 to send them down range. Accuracy is pretty decent and the terminal results on deer have been incredible.

Yep... the 405s would be the only lead Powerbelt I would mess with - due to increased fragmentation with the smaller grain sizes. You shouldn't experience leading because that grain size works best with a reduced powder charge. My guess would be between 70-80 grains 777.

I think both Chris and I know knows the fella with the most success using the 405s. I'll bet it's poster Deer Assassin over on the Tennessee Board.
