Has anybody tried the new 777 primers yet? Is it doing what they say? Tom.

Are the 777s comparable to Remingtons clean shot primers?

RE: 777 PRIMERS
I shot them thru my CVA Optima yesterday with 777 pellets and they seem to be a lot more dirty then the remingtons that I had. Anyone have any idea if I am doing something wrong. I am using 2 50 grain pellets and a 250 gr shockwave bullet and 777 primers.

RE: 777 PRIMERS
In follow up to my prior post, I want to say that the dirty area was where the optima breaks open. The barrell I couldn't tell a difference.

777 primers aren't as powerful as Rem's KB primers, but they are definitely cleaner. Much easier to clean the breech plug with them. Just try them in your gun and see how they shoot. They may be an easy alternative to vari-flame adapters.
