Question on projectile weight
I was wondering (yes, I know that that is usually a cause for alarm<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> in my case) what type of projectile, projectile weight, powder charge, and weapon you guys are using?

Projectile: 50 Caliber 295-grain Power Belt HP Copper Magnum Powder Charge: 120 grains Clean Shot FFg Weapon: Custom Virgin Hartley Hawken, Bill Large slow-twist 32" barrel, Win. 209 primer Keep yore powder dry!! |

For tomorrow's opener here in Missouri I will be using:
Projectile: .451 caliber home cast, sized and lubed conical Proj. Weight: 426 grains Powder Charge: 100 grains Pyrodex P loose powder Weapon: White Model 98 w/ Leupold 3X9 VERY accurate rifle and load. |

My current load of choice is:
Projectile: .45cal Precision Rifle QT sabot Proj. Weight: 350gr Powder charge: 90gr 2fg Triple 7 Weapon: Knight USAK, .50cal, #11Mag caps My back-up (2nd shot) round uses a 348gr PowerBelt Aero-tip with the same powder charge (this round loads faster for a second shot). "Every moving thing that liveth, I give unto you as meat" (Gen 9:3) Trust God..........but keep your powder dry! |
