I just read about that on another site. WOW what a shock. I always thought they were a well established company with anr excellent high qualityrifle. I always admired the traditional rifles they put out and often thought of getting one, but the price was a little more then I wanted to spend. Maybe some deals will come down the pipe on them. Everyone that owns one always talks about how well made they were and accurate...

A dealer stated today the Mountain Rifle has-had plenty of Q-C problems the past few years. He says the best buy there are the 45-cal blued 320/420s. Supposedly trouble-free and tack drivers. Not sure if A-H has any of those left in stock.

Just went back to the site. Plenty of MLs available. I emailed the dealer to find out what's the quality control issues withthe Mountain Rifles. They are selling that fancy wood, roundballer 1-66" twist for $270. Hopefully the quality issues are not numerous and easy/cheap to fix.

If that's the case, I'll pass!

The fancy 420 inlines are about the same discounted price. The frame on that gun stands that ML about a foot taller than the Omega. That 420 is huge & a bit heavy. I've grown old on bolt/plunger actions anyways. I'll pass there too.
