That's a bad thing glad it never happened to me. They have always taken care of my problems.

I always new it was the goal of T/C repair to add scratches to guns thank you for confirming that. (you bastards)

Like I said... the same one or two poster complaints we've been reading about- outof 100 with no complaints.

There are no perfect MLs or service departments. But I sincerely feel there's a greater chance you will get that Omega out-of-the-box with no problems -- greater chance you'll get itserviced properly from T/C if/when it ever needs it-- than all the rest of the ML manufacturers - including my runner-up choice (Knight).

Just my opinion.

I vote no on the Omega, I could not wait to get rid of mine. I have never been so frustrated with a ML in my life. I broke two ramrods trying to get a second shot into my rifle. I will admit that it shot extremely well, but it was strictly a one shot rifle, then needed a total cleaning for a second shot. Practicing with it was totally out of the question. I sent back two Encores for bad accuracy, never had a problem with TC customer service, just their guns. I own and have owned about ten TC's over the years. All my other TC's were exceptional firearms, Tom. TC told me what load I had to shoot in their encore for it to shoot accurately, When I pay that much money for an ML, it should shot whatever I want it to. Buy a Knight, I have owned several, and never the first problem, Tony makes a good one.

My Omega was the same relative to not being able to load a second shot. Then I found that the sabots that came with the rifle were incorrect for the gun. When I finally got the correct sabots and bullets and switched from the crud ring forming Tripple Seven to Black Mag'3 the rifle became a sweetheart.

Here is the link to the thread I was referring to http://www.huntingnet.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=1632794

Like I posted before-Omegas look good-I like their feel-but this thread of gus sending in their rifles, not getting good groups bothered me-I am sure that part of the problem with some of them was shooting skill-but nevertheless it made me wonder

Asking a Chevy dealer (T/C)to fix a Ford engine (Powerbelt)that you put in that Chevy will always warrant being denied. The CVA folks own Powerbelts.... which incidently is T/C's closest competitor with Mls .... T/C's closest competitor in the highly profitable ML bullet-manufacturing/packaging business.

There's no way any gun tech or white collar honchoat T/C - who will offer to help anyone shoot/dial-in a rival Powerbelt. There's noCVA tech that'll help you shoot a Knight bullet (or) a Traditions Rifle tech that'll help you withyour accuracy woes shooting a White RiflesPowerpunch conical.

I've said my piece here. I'm done talking to my dead horse.

On-to the next thread.

Well here's my two cents worth . In my Omega 209x50 2x50gr. and 1 30gr. Pyrodex pellets and the 223 aro tip powerbelt give me a 1" group at 100 yds. and that will hold for up to 15 shoots without cleaning . I also shoot 250gr Shockwave and 110 gr. ff 777 will also give me a 1" group at 100 yds. but I use the powerbelt load as a quick backup shoot .

Sorry to hear of your misfortune Steve. but I have to agree with Pittsberghunter about the service Dept. I have had nothing but good luck with them. And belive me when I tell you I do a lot of business with them. I am to the point where I will not buy any other black powder gun unless it is a TC, I'm that happy with them

I've got a solution.....Forget abut the Omega and buy a CVA Optima, I heard it's a great bang for the buck;)

RE: Buying tomorrow-help

Mike - I am glad it works for you and others. I really can't understand why I had such problems.
I was never rude in my contact with them - I know better since I work in sales/customer service.
Put a lot of time and money in trying to get it right and am/was extremely frustrated it didn't.
Good news is, since I needed a gun to hunt with last year, I bought a White S91 - now have 4 others. Shoot any powder and about any lead/sabot.
NO customer service, but don't need it!

Steve
