Ramrod for Omega

I have an Omega and I'm looking for a new rod for the range and cleaning. What is the best?

Thanks,
Darrell

Just adding a power handle to your stock ramrod makes a big differance.

The same one on the Omega can be purchased at this site below. Use the scroll bar on the left and look for the black anodized ramrods.

My suggestion for the range would be to measure the present Omerga ramrod with the T/C-provided extention jag attached. This site sells all different sizes. A real nice 2nd option are the brass ramrods there. They areheavy & bite right thru any crud rings.I purchased the longer one for my Omega -- I think it fits the Traditions Kentucky & Shenandoah rifle.

Both ramrods have double-end fittings for attachments. The black anodized one is the same one T/C uses.... so it's strong & forever. Get a couple of nice T-handles or palm saver ends for your ramrods somewhere. I think the ones I have are orange & roundrubber -- shaped like they fit over slim round stool legs - with a flare on the end for outstanding gripping.

There are a lot off range rods available depends on what you like. I like to take a 3/8 alunminium doll from the hardware store drill and tap the ends for #10with 32 thread per inch after I cut it one inch longer than level with the barrel. This makes a stong economical range rod and in a pinch you can substitute for your regular ramrod,it will stick out a bit but that won't bother anything. Lee

I second the Knight range rod. Made of solid aluminum and has a very good/strong handle.
