how much powder for TC Cheap Shot Sabot Bullets?

Hey guys,
I am going to shot TC Cheap Shot Sabotall-lead hollow-point .50 caliber, 240 grain bullets for target shooting with my CVA in-line Wolf but I do not know how much powder should be appropriate. Please recommend me. I usePyodex RS loose powder and 777.
Thanks a lot

You are not looking for a hunting load?

For just targets, as little as 50-60 grains is sufficient.

You'd have to see what your gun likes to be sure , but 50-60 as 777 suggested has always been ok for mine . Don't just use them for target shooting , they make a pretty good hunting round too .

Thanks Triple Se7ven and Kevin1. I use TC Sabots mostly for target shooting. For hunting, I use PowerBelt bullet 245g and have a pretty good group with that.

In my CVA Staghorn Magnum I shoot 90 grain of Goex 2f for hunting and target shooting with the T/C CheapShots. Also, I'd would not be afraid tohunt with them, or a powerbelt. Those little chunks of lead really flatten out in some of the penetration tests I have conducted on them in wet newspaper. Also their accuracy is exceptional.

For targets, it would surprise you how little powder is needed to make them shoot just fine. Only your rifle will really know for sure. Start them around 50 grains and see what kind of group you get. They make a great kids load as well for the younger hunters who are still a little recoil shy.

I like them for fun shooting and ground hogs. I have taken deer and boar with them when the oppertunity poped up, I normally shot 90 gr RS with them because it gives me the tightest group. Lee

I use 45 gr of BM3 with my CVA Kodiak. Puts them down range just fine.
