uh.....yall do know that if you have a traditional Sharps 45-70, and reload and use smokeless powder...the rifle could expload...

It won't explode unless you use a load that greatly exceeds 28,000 PSI breech pressure. If ypou keep all your .45/70 loads down in the "weak action" bracket, it will NOT explode!! Even a Trapdoor Springfield will stand over 20,000 PSI (I once saw a Trapdoor Springfield test rifle that U.S. Army Ordnance had rebarreled to .30/40 Krag, a round that then developed over 40 K PSI. It did NOT blow up!)

The Wonder Wads I use are "dry", but no doubt are lubricated with something-perhaps impregnated with Wonderlube?
That's what I meant. Are they lubricated or no?



Well, the package doesn't say! They FEEL dry to the touch, and there is no OBVIOUS lubricant on them. But I suspect since they call them Wonder Wads, they are lubricated with Wonder Lube, at least slightly......
