i know its a cheaper gun but thought i try it out. antbody have any bad thing to say about it?

I'm not familiar with the wolf. I shoot a CVA Greywolf and I am very pleased with this gun. It is a percussion sidelock with a 26" barrel and a 1-32 twist. I shoot 70gr of Triple7 FFFG with a 385gr Great Plains Hollow point and shoot 2" groups at 100yds. It was a "cheap" gun but shoots like a million bucks.

The two sides of the fence with this rifle is an old argument or disagreement for better words. Those that question BPI quality and safety, and of course those that do not. If money is an issue, then this is a place you can look and still purchase an inline muzzleloader.

Almost any inline muzzleloader these days, no matter what brand,will normally provide adaquate hunting accuracy out to 100 yards and some even more so. Throw some optics on there and no telling what the rifle will do.

If your looking for a rifle to add a few more days to your hunting every year, then about any rifle will do. If you want something that thirty years from now will still be shooting excellent and putting meat on the table, then you might want to invest more money in something. Of course you can always do that. Nothing wrong with have more then one rifle.

This past Christmas my wife had me go buy muzzelloaders for me and my son for our present's. Bought 2 and all the stuff to get started also put a Bushnell Throphy 3-9X40 on my sons.I went with this because a local dealer had them for $119 on sale I thought it would be a cheap way to get us into M/L. They seem to shot well with 2 T7 pellets and Honady 300xp bullets. Sofar my only complaint is the cheap plastic front and rear sights,other than that i'm impressed with the rifle. Just remember it's a low end gun and I wouldn't try to push 150 g of T7 through it. Ours seem to shot good groups at 50-100 yds. Right now we need more range time with them, I came see that will be a small expence, but alot of fun.I would buy one again to start out with but now i"m thinking of looking at mabe a Hawkins in the future.

They are OK with 100 grain maximum loads - but I would never recommend one by CVA, Winchester or Traditions. Also make sure you never improperly seat the bullet -- never become lax about "fully cleaning/oiling" the action.

Oh... one last thing! Inspect your breechplug often for enlarged holes and/or stress cracks and/or chipped/missing threads on the plug.

A CVA was my first ML I only shoot 90 gr out of it and you have to experiment with bullets everygun likes a different one. The front site on mine was crap also. It cost me a 10 point at 20 yards!! moved in the truck. then a gun smith told me the clear nail polish trick. never happen again. well to the point I killed a lot of deer with my CVA and you should too.

Oh one last thing Clean IT OFTEN!!! A month on mine is too long. IT LOVES TO RUST!!

the cva wolf i believe is the new version of the cva beartooth. its just a slightly less pretty version of a cva optima. do a search. the beartooth and optimas have been great preformers and accurate. i dont buy into all this made in spain crap. show me the proof. if they were that bad they would be off the market. the lawyers would see to that. NOW GET SHOOTING!!!!!!!!!
