Triple 7 vs Pyrodex

Would like to hear opinions on these 2 powders. Is Triple 7 cleaner burning?

Thanks...Back40

BUT, in my guns, 777 leaves MORE FOULING in the bore than Pyrodex. I can shoot MANY MORE shots without having to clean the bore when using Pyrodex vs 777!! BUT, when it comes time to clean, plain water gets 777 fouling out very easily, compared to Pyrodex fouling! There's no free lunch!!

Keep yore powder dry!!

Oh man, just tried some 777. Don't waste your money. It fouled my nipple and breech plug after 5 rounds!!! I have never had that problem with pyrodex or blackpowder. Maybe 20 rounds.

I love tripple 7. Use sabots and no lube at all. I am not getting all that much fouling with it and clean up is great!

Posting the results of a friend's corrosion tests over at http://www.huntamerica.com/wwwthread...b=5&o=&fpart=1. TOO much to post everywhere, but you guys might want to follow the progress. Should get interesting.
