Used White Price?
 

Local gun store has a slightly used White 97 .504 stainless laminate with bases and sights. It has the breech plug with the spring on the end.
They are asking $290.00 for it, just wondering if it was worth it or not.

I think there may still be some new in the box M97 Ultra Mags in Sportsman's Warehouses for $299. They have a 26" barrel and are stainless with either laminate or synthetic stock. Along with that you get all 3 types of breechplugs (209, #11 and musket cap) about 25 bullets and a hard case.
Mine came from Iowa, and they only charged me $10 for shipping ($309 total - no tax). If I wanted another one, I'd get the new one rather than pay $290 for a used one.

Jaybe hit it right on the head.. a used White 97 with one ignition system or a new Ultra Mag with a 26" stainless steel barrel, three ignition systems, a hard case, $50.00 worth of projectiles, and all the other little perks for $9.00 more plus approximately $15.00 shipping...

For me that's a no brainer. Now if he was selling the Used White Rifle for $200.00 that might be thinkable, but I like new. Just my opinion mind you.

How did you order one from Sportsmans Warehouse? I contacted one of the stores and the person told me it is retail stores only. Did you meen they had one ordered to one of their stores for you. Im in WV and they are not located here or anywhere really close enough to drive to. Can you inform me on how to order one from them. Thanks for any info you can give me.

you first need to find a Sportsman's Warehouse that has one in stock. I believe I read the Phoenix Arizona store still had one. When I ordered mine, I called the store and bought it over the telephone and had them mail it to me. Since this is a black powder rifle they can mail it through Federal Express or UPS. It costed me $15.00 for mailing. I got mine out of Twin Falls Idaho.

If you find one, be sure they check it and make sure it has the three breech plug ignitions of 209, musket, and #11 cap. Also the five tubes of projectiles, the hard case, and tools. Then just credit card it and have it mailed to your door.

Underclocked might be able to give you a store location where you can still get one...

Call the Phoenix,AZ Sportsman's Warehouse- I think they've still got some for 299.xx plus 15 shipping and I don't know if you'll need to pay sales tax or not. 623-516-1400 ask for Rick in the hunting dept.

I bought one from sportmans warehouse in Co. Shipping no problem. Now these are super deals and are closeouts. If not for these deals, the used price for the White is not too bad.
