Shooting a Tradition's Hawkins and roundball
Since everyone is shooting inlines, I decided to take out a traditional rifle. I hauled out a .50 caliber Tradition's Woodsman Hawkins. I was at 70 yards with my rice bags for a rest.
The first two low shots told me what sight picture to hold. After that I started trying to load the bull with a full 6 o'clock hold. At 100 yards I am guessing that the rifle would be dead on.
The final three shot group I was really impressed with.

I just want to say that I do not normally shoot groups this tight every time out, from that distance. It was one of them days when the sun was perfect on the target and I had an excellent sight picture. Also the rifle I was shooting has a 1-66 twist roundball barrel (the reason I bought it) and it has always been a great shooter...

Nice shootin'!!! You've got to love that 1-66 twist. My GPR has a 1-60 twist that is just fantastic with a PRB. Now you're making me want to get mine out and hit the hills for some "quality time".
