New Knight Revolution II Question
 

I am looking at getting one of the newer Knight Revolutions II in .50 caliber. It has a more refined trigger and different lever for loading. Does anyone have any experience with the Revolution II, not the first one. I heardthe first onehad bugs in it and that was confirmed bya techwho told me it did on the phone today. Something about blow back and bad trigger. This supposedly wasdealt with in the newer model.Any info will help.

They redesigned the breechplug to reduce blowback and made some minor changes to the trigger gaurd.

I'd skip it. The bolts are their better action although the new Vision looks good.

T/C Omega remains the top model in a similar ignition-supportingdesign.

Generally speaking, the Omega loves APP FFF too!

I have the older one and it did have problems. I called them and they said ship it back. They that they would pay the charg and after trying to figure out how the would contact a local ups center the guy said "No! we'll pick it up at your house just box it". That was all it took. Came back with a new reciever and all. Great service!

My brother just got the bolt action and loves it. I would rather have that one myself.

My dad has the original Revolution. Ocassionally the gun wouldn't fire, costing him a couple of deer the first season he owned it. Upon inspection the 209 primerwasn't being hit hard enough by the firing pin. He called Knight and they told him that he was screwing the breech plug in too far and he needed to back it out a couple of turns to insure proper ignition. I thought that was a rediculous response and not consistent with Knight's reputation for high quality service. If the rifle was manufactured so that one could screw in the breech plug "too far" to ensure proper ignition, that is a defect that needs to be resolved with a new rifleand a betterdesign.

He still uses the rifle despite my insistence that he should send it back to Knight for a replacement.

Mine did the same and it was not the plug being screwed in wrong. He should definetly return it. The first time we shot it it would only go off every now and then. Remove the load and shoot a primer and it would go off every time. They know what the fix is now and should fix it. The only down side was removing the scope. I got mine later in the production of it.

I'd like to know how they handle it myself.
