54 sabot?
 

Has anyone out there tried the MMP purple sabot for 54 cal with a 50cal bullet?

If so, what bullets and what results?

Yes, it does an excellant job for me.I use it in my System One [1-38 twist]with a 50 cal windener 300 gr bullet and 140 gr RS or APP. I also shoot it in my Hawken with a 1-48 twist with 110 gr. The System One will shoot 1,5 inch at 100yd and blows a hole that leaves a good blood trail [exit hole] on the occations that the deer bear or boar moves off thespot where they are hit. the hawken only groups about 4 inch but since I preferRB with it I never put much effort into getting it to do better.
