RE: All lead sabotted load for Washington State

two years ago I recommended the 375 Buffalo Bullet SSB to an elk hunter. He was using a Black Diamond XR and was looking for an elk load. I do know he was shooting 110 grains of Triple Se7en 2f under them. He took a nice cow elk I believe at about 75 yards. He reported the bullet did extensive damage, mushroomed excellent and sure did a number on that cow.

I am positive the NE's would also work excellent. I'd simply try both and then take the most accurate and powerful of the two. Carry them both for that matter. :D

Just ordered some of the Buffalo SSB 375 grain Sabots for the Knight. Looking for any good recommended starting points on loads. I am shooting 777 powder in a Knight Bighorn. Looking to push them for what they are worth and still get accuracy. Thanks.

I have found you can push those Spitzer pointed Buffalo Bullet SSB's pretty hard like 120 grains of loose and they still fly true. I just tone them back to 100 grains in most my rifles because for the distance I am hunting/shooting that is more then enough gas on them.

[:@]*** and with the cost of gas now a days we do not want to waste a drop!! :)
