The reason I shoot 1 in 48" twist ML's, is that The T/C models I own (and like) were a 1 in48" twist from the factory. My Lyman Deerstalker, is also a 1 in 48" twist. Lyman offered a 1 in 32' twist for the Deerstalker, butI was not interested in shooting sabots. I find that my ML's with the 1 in 48" twist give good accuracy with a patched round ball. I have a T/C Penn. Hunter Carbine with a 1 in 66" twist, and my 1 in 48's shoot as well or better.I would not hesitate to reccomend the 1 in 48" twist to anyone who wants to shoot PRB's.
